How can I apply and how much will it cost?

You can estimate our charges yourself by referring to the ‘service connections’ section of our charging arrangements.

If you’d like us to give you an estimate or a quote, there are two ways we can help you:

If you just want to understand the probable cost to replace, upgrade or split your existing water supply, we can give you a quick and easy budget estimate, usually on the same day. One of our advisers will take you through the process. At that stage, you can proceed to a formal quote if you want.

You need to use the full application form below rather than a budget estimate if you:

  • Are in a hurry to complete your connection
  • Need a completely new connection (usually for a new property).

Call us on 0800 009 3921 for a budget estimate (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm).

Please note, we will charge a non-refundable application fee and design fee from October 2018.

If you need more than one service connection or have more complex requirements, you'll need to apply for a formal quote.

You'll also need to upload a drawing detailing the point of entry for your new connection.

You can submit an application online, via phone or by completing a paper form.

By post: Make cheques payable to Thames Water Utilities Ltd and write the reference number starting ‘DS’ on the back. Send to:
